SOUNDINGS PAVILLION, JYVÄSKYLÄ
This project is based on the international architectural workshop “Soundings for architecture 3” held in Jyväskylä in summer 2001. The 1:1 scale test piece in Väinönkatu was designed and built in spring 2002. It illustrates the idea of furnishing a city street in a new way; instead of individual pieces of furniture the street itself turns into one big piece of furniture by architectural means. The built “section” is also used as an info-box by the city.
